2007/02/12 Pimp my ride with Skambankt
| Skambankt took the pimping wave seriously and did some earnest work on the band car "ROSIE". In preparation for the tour, Don Fist appointed himself the foreman and head pimp. Skambankt's original Ford Club Wagon from 1989 underwent the transformation of its life. Originally being something inbetween gray, blue and black, the exterior has been lovingly treated with a roll and black Bengalac. The rust has been partly removed, and the part that had to stay has been very well concealed. The windshield was sealed with silicone and hardly leaks anymore. The grill in the front was sprayed with a nice dark red color from Biltema, which gives the car a discreet touch of elegance. The interior has been cleaned with all kinds of detergent, from soap to salt acid (!), and now there's almost no spots of coffee left. At the same time, the aroma has completely shifted in character. The doors have been coated on the inside with exclusive leatherette and filled with Glava to give a kind of chesterfield-effect. Additionally, parts of the dashboard have also been sprayed red to match both the front grill and the doors. All in all it seems that life on the road can be both luxurious and glamorous for Skambankt! Now the only thing missing is to get a coffee deal and get the car running. |
