22/1/2009: Support Skambankt!

The album is about to come out - time for a competition! You can find all the infos here. Good luck!

Today, Skambankt appeared on NRK Rogaland. I didn't find a recording of the radio show they attended, but you can see them on local TV here. (Here is the direct link to the video.) There wasn't really any new info worth reporting here though. =;-)
Additionally, Skambankt answered questions online at Aftenbladet.

And don't forget that you can listen to the complete album on Skambankt's MySpace site already!

21/1/2009: Win tickets for the release party!

As mentioned in yesterday's news, there will be a release party at Cementen in Stavanger - for invited guests only. But you can also win tickets! All you have to do to enter the competition is send in the name of the director of Skambankt's new video to the e-mail address linked in the article.

Update: You can now listen to the whole album on Skambankt's MySpace site! Enjoy!
The lyrics and translations for all the songs will be online here after the album comes out - hopefully already on Monday.

20/1/2009: Promo tour!

The first part of the promotion for Hardt Regn is over - Terje and Tollak appeared on Oslo-TV (choose "Del 1 19.01.09" to watch the video) and Lydverket (podcast) yesterday, and today they were at Radio Tango. Here's a rough summary of stuff we haven't heard before:
  • The title "Hardt Regn" gives a good summary of the overall atmosphere of the album.
  • The album will be out as vinyl version as well - Skambankt's first vinyl.
  • All lyrics and all music was done by Terje this time.
  • The recording of the album at Bekk studio in Jæren was a bit of a "Big Brother" social experiment - stick four people into one small studio for two and a half weeks and see what happens.
  • In the booklet, Skambankt don't use their artist names anymore. They don't really know why, it "just happened", but they are a bit tired of them.
  • There will be a release party for the album, but only for invited guests, at Cementen in Stavanger.
  • There MIGHT be two concerts in Bergen, which probably means a kids concert before the real concert, but it's not set yet.
  • Everybody should check out Rummelsnuff. =;-)
Just some key points, of course there was much more, and if you understand some Norwegian, it's worth checking the interviews out!
And there will be more interviews: On Thursday (Jan. 22), Skambankt will appear on NRK Rogaland, both radio (16:30) and TV (18:40). Both shows should be available on NRK nettradio or NRK nett-tv, respectively, either live or afterwards. Also, don't forget to send in questions for the Aftenbladet net meeting on Thursday!
And looking at the online press, we find a very nice interview at nrk.no (I'll try to find the time to translate it asap) and a first album review from Sarpsborgavisa.

19/1/2009: TV killed the radio star!

Ted Winters and Don Fist will appear on Oslo-TV today (17:30)! Apparently, there will be a "video podcast" available afterwards, I will post the link.
And this is not all, because the two will also be part of NRK Lydverket today, which starts at 18:00. You can listen to Lydverket on the web radio or download the podcast afterwards.
Tomorrow, they will appear on Radio Tango. There is no podcast, but a webstream that you can listen to. The show starts at 15.00.
More dates to come!

Update: Here's the link to the Lydverket podcast - a nice interview, plus the full version of "Slukk Meg (For Eg Brenner)"! Skambankt come on after about 16 minutes. The video from Oslo-TV isn't online yet, so check back tomorrow. And don't forget Radio Tango tomorrow at 3:00 pm, there will be no download afterwards!

17/1/2009: Translations and support!

Here's the translation of the album review from Norsk på norsk.
Also, I uploaded the lyrics and translation of Vår Bør, and if you scroll down you will also find those parts of Trygge Rammer and Slukk Meg (For Eg Brenner) that were played on the radio. If you spot any errors in the lyrics or translations, please let me know!
Skambankt have revealed some support acts for their upcoming tour. Kvelertak will join them in Bergen, Haugesund, Grimstad, Kristiansand, Oslo, Hamar, and Drammen, and in Stavanger, Svenssen will warm up for Skambankt.
