(VG Nett) The punk rock band Skambankt claims that they have taken the upcoming album more serious than the previous, but a food war was inevitable when there was a video to shoot.

Monday, January 26, the third album of the band from Jæren will be released, and singer Terje Winterstø Røthing (also known as guitar player in Kaizers Orchestra, author's note) promises that "Hardt Regn" is even better than the previous record "Eliksir" which got good reviews in the Norwegian press.

- It is difficult to rank records if you are fully involved in it, but I think we have steady and good songs and a better sound on this album, Winterstø says to VG Nett.

Exclusive premiere

Today, the band releases the music video for the single "O Dessverre", and VG Nett is the only website that gets to link exclusively to the brand-new video, before it premieres somewhere else.

Stian Kristiansen, director of "Mannen som elsket Yngve", made the video, and Winterstø tells that the whole production was a gigantic piece of voluntary work.

- Nobody got paid, but instead we used the whole budget to make the best possible product. We are talking about 30-40 grownups who had to wear costumes every day and have a food war - this was fun for everybody who was involved, the Skambankt singer says eagerly.

Rabbits and priests

In short, the story line for the video for the song "O Dessverre" is that Skambankt are hired to play at a costume ball at a school. The party ends with a food war between rabbits, boxers, priests and clowns.

- I think we made the best video of the year. I haven't seen it yet, but if it is not the best, then it was at least the one that was most fun to shoot!

Additionally to Winterstø, Skambankt consists of Tollak Friestad, Hans Egil Løe Abelsnes and Børge Sagend Henriksen (also Brut Boogaloo, author's note).

The band has already played at Roskilde and Øya Festival. This year, they are one of the artists at by:Larm, and additionally they have been selected to support the Danish rock heros D-A-D on their 25th-anniversary-tour in Denmark.
