2010/01/26 A summary and an update
A year has passed, and a new one has begun. 2009 has been a dance on roses for Skambankt. It started with the release of Hardt Regn, followed by a long long series of glee-filled concerts. We want to thank those who invited us, and all of you who came to see us. 2009 also held a change of our record label, and we want to use this opportunity to thank Tuba Records for five years of good cooperation. We would never be where we are without you! It has become a custom to create all kinds of lists at the end of a year. Here is a slightly delayed list of our top 5 concert experiences of 2009, free from memory:
We'd also like to mention here that we really enjoyed to top the lists of both the radio programs "Sexy" and "Pyro", for the best Norwegian record and the best Norwegian band of 2009. Thanks to you who voted us to the top! 2010 has been a bit of a rollercoaster up to now, emotionally speaking. It started with us ending up in the middle of the huge "walker-rebellion" at Lassa, where we were referred to as terrorists, spiritual terrorists, by Stavanger's elderly. That gets to us, and we hope that it's all due to a big misunderstanding. This issue was then closely followed by some news of the happy kind. For the first time, we have been nominated for a Spellemannspris (Norwegian grammy), in the category ROCK. This is motivating, as we have just started recording our fourth album, which has the preliminary working title "Åndelig Terror" ("Spiritual Terror"). We don't know yet if this is an appropriate title for the piece, but for now it works. For those of you who are wondering we can already reveal that the next album seems very promising. We do everything we can to exceed ourselves, both in songwriting and recording. We refuse to disappoint you. We'll talk again later in 2010! Greetings from Atlética Sound in Halden. |
Skambankt loaded their guns, and Tollak is happy to only play bass this time!
