2007/01/05 Kick music: Announcement of "Eliksir"
| In December of 2004, the Norwegian band Skambankt - lead by Kaizers Orchestra guitar player Terje Kilmaster Kaizer - broke hard through the sound barrier with their debut album and, in Denmark, with three noisy concerts - which echoed strongly in the Danish Rock milieu. The enormous attention didn't only push CDs over the counter but also resulted in prestigious concerts at Spot Festival and Roskilde Festival 05 (Arena Scenen), further tours on Danish ground and chart positions with the EP "Skamania". Now Skambankt come back even stronger with the 2nd album "Eliksir". And if anybody thought that this was just a 'spare time project', Skambankt will make him be ashamed. Because the 12 new songs on "Eliksir" show a solid development in the band's music. The references are still the same, but Skambankt have seriously found their own niche in hard rock. Still a glittering chain of catchy rock tunes, but the slogans are gone in favor of more serious things... even love! Skambankt are ready to rock the nation again, with another round of their "Eliksir!" |
