2009/03/23 Bean shock in Harstad

We'll start by thanking almost all of you up there in the North for a terrific weekend. Experiences were queuing up. Everything from sold-out concerts, a drive from Harstad to Leknes, shamefully good hospitality in Bodø and some splendid drinking bouts.
We established a stockfish-contact in Leknes, which means that we stumbled upon Stockfish-Svein who will from now on send stockfish down south whenever there is need for it. Thanks for that. It is something we have wished for for a long time. This would have been a perfect weekend if we hadn't experienced what we got to experience in Harstad. More precisely at the restaurant "Gründer".
We felt safe and didn't expect any danger when we each ordered our egg and bacon. The dish tasted good, but we all agreed that there could have been a few more baked beans, actually. So we asked whether we could get some extra beans, and we got them. No big surprises so far, except that there were only 2 rashers of bacon on some of the plates. The surprise came when we were about to pay.
For less than half a can of beans, they demanded an inexorable 44, forty four, Norwegian kroner. SCANDALOUS!!!
We don't manage to calculate which estimate was used here, but this must be some kind of world record. So you cn find the world's most expensive beans at Gründer in Harstad. We don't know much about founding, but it is impossible that this is a good business idea.

The cactus will be in the mail, no use begging...
